In these tough economic times for New Yorkers and all Americans, I am working hard in Congress to help meet the challenges we face. Working with President Obama, Congress can provide relief, help our economy recover, and reinvest in priorities like health care, education, and green energy.
On one of our nation's most critical issues, I believe health insurance reform is critical to make coverage more accessible and affordable, protect consumers, and rein in long-term costs. I am reviewing legislation that will be considered by the U.S. House of Representatives to ensure it accomplishes these goals.
